Fiberglass horses were decorated and/or painted by local artists as a 2002 public art project to raise funds to restore Billings’ historic train station. Inspired by our memories of the “peaceful, easy feeling” of childhood summer days and nights spent fishing and camping on Montana’s Stillwater River, Jim painted one side of the horse (Day), and Joe painted the other side (Night).
