The Other Half
Fiberglass bighorn sheep were decorated and/or painted by local artists as a 2005 public art project to raise funds to complete the restoration of Billings’ historic train station. Inspired by the 200th anniversary of the Lewis & Clark Expedition and the linked identities of Meriwether Lewis and William Clark, Jim painted one side of the sheep (Clark), and Joe painted the other side (Lewis). As twin brothers, we too are the “the other half” of another's identity.
